Making diet changes is a good idea. Red meat and liver have an abundance of iron. Vegetarians could opt for dark green leafy vegetables, beans and lentils. The zinc also plays a role in the healthy growth of hair. The foods rich in zinc that you should include in your diet are nuts, spinach, shellfish, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

7. Avoid Chemical or Thermal Treatment:

Washing hair with shampoo often exposes it to a plethora of chemicals, which even in its mildest forms could cause damage. Chemicals deprive your hair of natural oils that make it fragile and weak. It is suggested to wash your hair two or three times a week. Avoid applying conditioners on the scalp. Thermal treatments such as curly or permanent change the biochemistry of the hair, making it weak. Avoid heat in your hair to keep it strong. Refrain from using dyes, as they not only cause allergies in some people, but also dehydrate the hair. Remember, your body is equipped with all the capacity to grow healthy hair, as long as you supply the necessary nutrients. Playing with natural hair quality through artificial extensions, heat or chemical treatment could only cause more damage.
